This week, I’ll cover our approach to sourcing the components of the Meural frame. Our key objective is to build a product that is consistent and reliable.
Our wooden frames are handcrafted in Pennsylvania by a family-owned business. They’ve been operating for over 25 years, and have a great track record with furniture and custom framing. Our woodworker sources wood from domestic saw mills, so we can provide you with a high quality wood grain that is consciously sourced.
We’re working with Arrow Electronics, one of the largest distributors of electronic components in the world. This ensures that our parts are from vetted manufacturers, and a consistently high level of service.
The electronic components of the Meural digital canvas are all sourced as mature parts. This means these parts are not early in their life-cycle so there are no kinks to work out. And they’re not late in their life cycle so there’s little risk of end-of-life – when the parts are retired and no longer supported.
Our production partners have over 140 years of combined experienced with electronics, woodworking, and manufacturing. This gives us tremendous confidence to deliver you a great product.
