In each installment, a guest writer chooses one Pantone color they find particularly meaningful, intriguing, or just aesthetically beautiful—and tells us why.

I’m drawn to Pantone 446 C. I love the muted slightly blue tone and it’s a direction I’ve used a lot in my recent photography work. I’m a happy person in general but I’m always drawn to darker, muted color palettes and this color seems to sum it up for me. I did a recent shoot with an artist named Augustana and this color came directly from one of his photos I took. It just makes me happy for some reason.
